The value that parents bring into the life of their kids is immeasurable. The relationship between a mother and her child is one that cannot be compared to any other.
Siva’s mother lost her ability to walk and this son’s only wish is for her mother to live a life without feeling like a burden. Buying her a motorized wheelchair will not only give her this freedom but also allow Siva to focus on his studies and finish his schooling this year!
“We are so honored! Thank you so much, nightfam! The motorized wheelchair is actually my mom’s dream for so many years. She’s been in wheelchair for more than 8 years now. For the past 2 years, she wanted to have a motorized wheelchair but due to financial crisis we couldn’t afford them. It’s a really happy moment for us and for my mom, too! She doesn’t have to be dependent on anyone, she can be independent!”

It’s Fardeen and Naqsh against the world – that’s how they’ve felt from the start of their relationship. They were but young teenagers when they first met online and their friendship flourished into something more. They eventually decided that they were meant for each other and started planning on how to meet and marry. The problem is, the nations where they come from are not friendly with each other so they could not apply for tourist visas to each of their countries. It became the couple’s greatest fear to die without even meeting in person once!
Fardeen and Naqsh started saving up for their meetup in a neutral country instead. They’ve been met with hurdles and dead-ends along the way until they saw an opportunity with Project Nightfall Philanthropy’s Weekly 1000. Touched by their story, we reached out and the rest is history.
Here is what Fardeen has to say:
“I wanna say a lot of things right now but maybe it’s like a dream come true and I am all in silence and unable to express my emotions. Thank you so much for the help and support.”
Nightfam, if you truly put your heart and energy to it, things can be possible. For this couple, they had to wait and exert continuous effort for almost 13 years to finally meet. We hope that you don’t give up on your own dreams, too. Thank you for helping us, help them.

To say that Isabelle De Lentdecker has gone through a lot in life is an understatement. A single mother of 3, a survivor of domestic abuse, and recently diagnosed with a rare neuromuscular illness making it difficult for her to walk, Isabella bravely fought through every hardship just to raise her children.
For now, her only wish is to finally do something for herself and to be able to do things on her own. With your help, Nightfam, we have enrolled her a year’s worth of sculpting classes and are having her scooter repaired so she can easily travel to her classes!
She shared, “I enrolled in this art class for a year… I’ve never sculpted in my life but I did it. It gave me so much peace and I didn’t have to think about money issues, health issues, etc. I love creating stuff and sculpting class does that for me. Wow! I’m really really happy and grateful!”

The Project Nightfall Philanthropy just bought sewing machines for an organization in Uganda to produce reusable sanitary pads! We are so proud to be able to empower women to help themselves!
The prices of menstrual products in Uganda have continued to rise, making it harder for girls and women to afford these monthly basic needs. To address the problem, the Tuezuule Initiative has begun a project involving women in producing reusable cloth sanitary pads.
The Tuezuule Initiative focuses on empowering girls, young mothers, and vulnerable women. Aside from this effort, they also strive to become a platform for education, vocational and skills training, counseling, legal assistance, and health services – all aimed to enhance the social and economical independence of women, girls, and the youth in general.
Here’s what the organization’s Founding Deputy Executive Director, Mr Ssewalu Abdan Abdul, has to say:
“Are you for real? I really can’t believe it. Thank you so much! It will really create a big impact. I’m so happy about this. I’m so happy that, finally, I got someone who is not within the community to appreciate what we are doing… Something, I thought impossible, has happened.”

We just funded fuel for a mobile classroom as well as books, craft supplies, coloring tools, and food.
This grant will impact at least 500 kids!
“When children and parents are underprivileged [and less educated], then what happens is they tend to go backward in life [too]. For example, some [girls] at 15 years old can [just] get married and it’s like ‘NO please no!'” said Sarah Arslan, a passionate teacher helping underprivileged kids in Turkey.
University students in Turkey are addressing these challenges in their locality through their mobile libraries using donated and reconditioned buses. So far they have reached several districts in the capital and are looking to reach more.
When Sarah received the announcement, she said she was so shocked! “I was like oh my god! All I can say is that this is such a great opportunity for them. I didn’t expect a reply or anything like that but I’m really grateful just to be considered because children really deserve everything and they are the future of our world.”
